Why SecurityNet Is Desktop-Only
Smartphones are incredibly powerful, but they’re also some of the most invasive devices most people own. Every second they’re on, they quietly collect, transmit, and share data — often without your knowledge or consent.
The result: even if a message is encrypted, the environment it’s sent from isn’t. A determined attacker — or even a commercial data broker — can piece together an astonishing amount of information simply from the data your phone constantly emits.
SecurityNet takes a deliberately different approach by staying off mobile devices. It is designed for desktop computers, avoiding the location tracking, app ecosystem, mobile cloud integration, and always-connected telemetry associated with smartphones.
SecurityNet does not collect or store your communication activity, and your files and messages are not stored on SecurityNet servers.
